Marion Strunk is currently hosting the first FAT exhibition in the FATpermanent Art Space. In her works, the thread is in the photograph, she embroiders photographs, intervenes with a sharp needle and tightened thread: the photograph shows itself as fiction, the thread as fact. Her adaptations thematise the medium of photography and question the art-theoretical canon, whereby the classically female-coded craft of embroidery experiences a revaluation in the context of art and irritates the usual way of seeing. In conversation with Sibylle Omlin, she talks about her works and the exhibition.

Annick Mischler's FATecke runs parallel to Marion Strunk's FAT exhibition. Here she presents, among other things, a selection of her paintings from the series "Tragic Strip". These work according to the principle of montage. Each painting resonates with another. Through an active and regenerating contamination, the paintings generate a transforming dynamic, a poetics of connection, of collecting and receiving. In conversation with Ursina Gabriela Roesch, she talks about her art.
