with Hulda's glasses through the streets of Zurich
On 26 September, Hulda will lend her voice to the Women's City Walk Zurich and take you on a quest for female art around the Kunsthaus Zürich. The walk is in collaboration with About Us!
Hulda Zwingli is an anonymous artists' collective from Zurich that scrutinises and denounces unequal gender relations in the art world and in public spaces. The collective was founded on 14 June 2019, Women's Strike Day, and has since been posting regular Instagram posts on the topic and taking action in public spaces. The name is made up of the first name of a historical Swiss art collector, Hulda Zumsteg (Kronenhalle), and the name of the Zurich reformer Zwingli. Since its foundation, Hulda Zwingli has criticised institutions such as the Kunsthaus Zürich for the fact that women artists are not adequately represented in their collection and programme.
