Ursina Gabriela Roesch, also known as

urg.art, is a multi-faceted and outstand-

ing transdisciplinary artist and curator

living and working between Zurich, Swit-

zerland, and Paris, France. Roesch is ded-

icated to fostering feminist solidarity in

art and curating. Her work spans various

media, including visual art, photographic

art, language art, and soundscapes.

Roesch combines performance, images,

sounds, and texts in her work to create

complex layers and spaces that influence

both our environment and bodily memo-

ry. Her exhibitions question and highlight

old patterns on both an individual and

societal level by critically uncovering and

blurring the boundaries between art

and society.

For her innovative and culturally excep-

tional contributions to contemporary art,

Roesch has received numerous awards

and scholarships, both nationally and

internationally. She regards her artistic

work as a poetic-theoretical engagement

(poetheoretical), challenging traditional

forms of expression and offering new per-

spectives beyond art and within the

language of art.

A particularly significant initiative by

Ursina Gabriela Roesch is the founding

of the international network Femme

Artist Table (FAT) in 2016 and the art as-

sociation Femme Artist Table in 2020.

As the project leader of Women* in Arts

at FATart.ch, she is committed to pro-

moting female artists and creating net-

works and visibility within the art world.

She deserves a big round of applause.
